New, Returning Town Council Members Sworn Into Office
 The Town of Knightdale welcomed two returning council members and a new council member to its team in December. Councilors Latatious Morris and Steve Evans were re-elected for another term. Gary Bussey was also elected and joins the Town Council. The councilors were sworn in at the December 1 Work Session meeting.
We are so excited about the amazing things this Council will achieve in the coming term. Congratulations to all!
Town of Knightdale Posts 2025 Community Survey Results
 The Town of Knightdale recently released the results of its 2025 Community Survey. The survey serves several purposes:
- To objectively assess resident satisfaction with the delivery of major Town services;
- To help determine priorities for the community;
- To set a baseline for future surveys; and
- To compare the Town's performance with other communities regionally and nationally.
The seven-page survey, administered by The ETC Institute of Olathe, Kansas, was administered by mail and online distribution to a randomly selected sample of Town residents. You can see the complete results of the survey by visiting our website or clicking the link below.
Knightdale Residents Come Out For Annual Tree Lighting
 It's an annual tradition, but the festive event was as alive as ever at Knightdale Station Park. Town residents and friends gathered to enjoy hot cocoa, local vendors, holiday entertainment, and Santa (of course!) at this year's Christmas Tree Lighting.
Councilor Stephen Morgan and newly inducted councilor Gary Bussey helped Santa count down the moment the Town tree, located in the heart of Knightdale Station Park, was lit to officially start the holiday season. We want to thank everyone who helped make this event a success, especially our Knightdale Public Works and Parks & Recreation teams.

 Following our Tree Lighting, Knightdale traditionally enjoys a wonderful Christmas Parade, and this year was no exception. First Avenue was filled with joyful residents and their guests as they all lined the street to watch the festive procession of local organizations and holiday entertainment.
This year's Grand Marshal was Benjamin Chavis, a Knightdale High Student who raised almost $4,000 for the Compassion Box, a place where people can come and get food if they need it, no questions asked. We were grateful for his participation, as well as every other person and organization who helped make this year's parade another success!

KPD Hosts Successful Shop With A Cop Event
The Knightdale Police Department recently had the privilege of taking part in their annual Shop With a Cop event, and it was nothing short of amazing. Seeing the smiles, laughter, and excitement as children shopped alongside officers was truly heartwarming. Events like this are a reminder why community connections matter so much, especially during the holiday season. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so special for well-deserving kids and families!
