On Memorial Day, our community gathered in solemn remembrance of the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. The ceremony featured a powerful keynote address from Siobhan Norris, Director of the Wake County Veteran Services Division, who spoke with heartfelt reverence about the enduring legacy of those who have served.
The Knightdale High School Army JROTC honored our fallen heroes with the retirement of the colors, a moving tribute that reflected the discipline and respect of our next generation of leaders.
In a poignant moment of reflection, Andrew Mills of Bugles Across America performed Taps, allowing us all to pause and remember the true cost of freedom.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in honoring the memories of those we have lost.
The Town of Knightdale would like to thank our veterans and their families for the commitment and sacrifices they gave to protect our community.
We would like to extend our thanks to the Two Green Thumbs Garden Club, the L. Harold Poole Funeral Home, the Disabled American Veterans, the American Legion Post #529, the Veterans Memorial Advisory Board and T-Mobile for Government for their assistance with this event.

Property Tax Collection Changes in Knightdale
Beginning July 1, 2025, the Town of Knightdale will no longer serve as a tax collection payment site for Wake County. This change means that residents and businesses will no longer be able to make Wake County property tax payments at Town Hall.
We encourage you to prepare for this change by creating or logging into your account on the Wake County Tax Portal, where you can manage payments and access your tax records securely and conveniently.
This transition, made in collaboration with Wake County, is part of a broader effort to streamline services and enhance operational efficiency across the county. For more information about payment options and account setup, please visit wake.gov.
