Knightdale Youth Take Center Stage At Town Council Meeting
|
|
At our December Town Council meeting, we were fortunate to have the NC Coastal Pines Cadette Troop 28 lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance. Our town youth continue to give us glimpses of the true leaders blossoming in our area, and it's such a great thing to see. Thank you for your time, and for earning your final badges! |

Knightdale Recognizes Advisory Board Members
The Town Council recognized members of all our Citizen Advisory Boards for their service to Knightdale over the past year.
Members of the Land Use Review Board, Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, Veterans Memorial Advisory Board and our new Community Relations Advisory Board attended the last Council Meeting of the year and received commendations for their dedication to the Town and its citizens. Many initiatives that impact residents would not happen if not for these boards, so we are grateful for all they do to make Knightdale the wonderful place that it is.
From the bottom of my heart, you all are appreciated and valued. THANK YOU!

Town Council Meets with Eastern Wake Local Government Association
|
|
Members of the Knightdale Town Council and I met with the Eastern Wake Local Government Association at the new Wake Tech East Campus. We meet regularly to discuss new items on each town's agenda, as well as discuss ways to collaborate and support each other in the region.
Wake County Economic Development presented updates from the 2023 Site Identification Study, discussed current economic development project activity, and highlighted future Infrastructure and Redevelopment studies. It was a great time of interdependent support, and I am grateful to have all of these leaders representing eastern Wake County and its citizens.

Wake County Mayors Association Celebrates the Holidays
The Wake County Mayors Association (WCMA) held its annual holiday meeting/gathering, and everyone attended with the holiday spirit in their hearts and faces!
Hosted by the Town of Holly Springs, the event was attended by the 12 mayoral members of the WCMA and over 150 guests. Those guests included members of the Knightdale Town Council and Administration--and they looked amazing in their festive attire! I'm honored to be a part of such a service-oriented group of leaders, and I look forward to all the WCMA will do in the coming year!
