As we gather with loved ones to celebrate Thanksgiving, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude for the heart of this town—you, our community. Your spirit of kindness, generosity, and collaboration is what makes Knightdale a truly special place to call home.
This season reminds us of the importance of coming together, supporting one another, and reflecting on the blessings in our lives. We are especially thankful for the trust you place in us as your local government to serve and strengthen this community.
From all of us at the Town of Knightdale, we wish you a Thanksgiving filled with joy, love, and cherished moments with family and friends. Let’s continue to work together to create a brighter, stronger future for everyone who calls Knightdale home.
Below are some reminders about ways to properly dispose of fats, oils and grease as you prepare delicious dishes for your loved ones.

The Town of Knightdale wants to thank everyone who came out to the Veterans Day Tribute on Sunday, November 10th at the Veterans Memorial Plaza. It was inspiring to see the community come together and recognize the service and sacrifice of the veterans here in Knightdale. This event would not have been possible without the help of our excellent community partner, The Two Green Thumbs Garden Club.
We also want to give a special thanks to, Wake County Commissioner Don Mial, Knightdale Councilors Mark Swan and Stephen Morgan, former Knightdale Mayor Doug Boyd, Morrisville Councilor Steve Rao, Keynote Speaker Kelly Carter, Franklin Johnston, Scouts BSA Troop 365, and everyone who participated in the event.
If you were unable to make it out to the veteran's day event, consider stopping by Knightdale Station Park where the Veterans Memorial Plaza is located and check out some of the information posted about the memorial.
Let's continue to show our appreciation to our veterans throughout the year. We are grateful for their service! Visit our website to learn more about our Veterans Memorial

On Friday, November 22, the Town of Knightdale proudly celebrated the grand opening of Fire Station No. 1 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. This marks the second new fire station inaugurated this year, further enhancing our community's emergency response capabilities.
The event included guided tours of the state-of-the-art facility, thoughtful remarks from town officials, and the chance to meet the dedicated firefighters who serve our community. Attendees also had the pleasure of viewing two exceptional pieces of artwork created by contest winners, Anabelle R. and Zoey T., adding a personal and creative touch to the celebration.
This new station is a significant milestone in our commitment to protecting the safety and well-being of Knightdale residents and their property. We are excited about the opportunities it brings to strengthen our community’s resilience.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing you around Fire Station No. 1!

The nomination period is now open for the 2024 Community Appearance Awards! The Town of Knightdale started this annual program in 2013 as a way to recognize businesses, property owners, and organizations that have gone above and beyond to beautify Knightdale by enhancing the Town's character, environment, and appearance. Award categories are for newly construction non-residential sites or buildings, recently renovated buildings (commercial or residential), or beautification efforts by a person or local organization.
We would love to receive your submissions for any beautification efforts that have taken place during 2024 within the Town limits. All nominations will be referred to the Land Use Review Board for consideration, and awards will be presented at the State of the Town event early next year.
Please submit all nominations by December 2nd!

This holiday season, the Town of Knightdale is proud to partner with MADD North Carolina to honor lives lost to impaired driving and promote safe celebrations.
From December 10, 2024, to January 1, 2025, Town Hall will shine bright in red as a beacon of remembrance and a call to action for responsible choices.
We encourage businesses, organizations, and residents to join us by lighting up your homes or buildings in red. Together, let’s spread this powerful message across Knightdale.
Snap a photo of your display and share it with the hashtags #RedForRemembrance and #DecorateCelebrateDesignate to show your support.
Let’s make this a season of safety, remembrance, and hope.
