2026 STARward STEM Expo: A Celebration of Student Innovation

WHAT: 2026 STARward STEM Expo In preparation for the Expo, student teams have explored real challenges astronauts face and have designed innovative experiments to improve life in space. The winning projects in the STARward STEM Design Challenge will be launched to the International Space Station in 2026!
WHEN: Thursday, March 26, 2026/4-7 p.m. Student Presentations, STEM Exhibitions & the Awards Ceremony

In addition to the student experiment exhibition and competition, Expo attendees will have the opportunity to interact with cutting-edge technology, STEM industry experts and former astronaut Tony Antonelli, a DBHS graduate who served in the U.S. Navy before becoming a pilot on the STS-119 and STS-132 missions to the International Space

The STARward STEM Expo is the culminating event of the STARward STEM Design Challenge. The event is open to students, families, educators and other supporters of STEM education in the Cumberland County region.
