CCS to Observe Independence Day In observance of Independence Day, all CCS office and school buildings will be closed on Thursday, July 4 and Friday, July 5. Offices will reopen on Monday, July 9.
The FAFSA Bus Is Coming! The Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) FAFSA Bus will be on hand to assist CCS Families with completing the FAFSA application for the 2024-2025 school year. On Tuesday, July 9 from 5 - 7 p.m., the FAFSA Bus will be at FTCC's Summerfest, which will be on campus at the Tony Rand Student Center. For more information, visit the CCS Website.
Recruiting Candidates for the Family Ambassador Program
In our efforts to create opportunities for families to become engaged partners in their children's education, CCS is recruiting candidates at select schools for the Family Ambassadors Program. If you would like to help our families become more engaged in their child's educational success, promote a positive and welcoming learning environment at school and meet monthly with other families to learn more about what is happening in CCS, the Family Ambassador volunteer position may be for you. You could receive up to $150 monthly for completing certain family engagement tasks. To view the schools that have an available position and to complete an interest form, click here. Child Nutrition Pop-Up Job Fair
Cumberland County Schools Child Nutrition Services is looking to hire assistant managers and food service assistants during its Pop-Up Job Fair on Thursday, July 18 from 9 a.m. - noon at Alger B. Wilkins High School, located at 1429 Skibo Road in Fayetteville, NC 28303. Starting pay is $15 per hour with numerous benefits to include retirement, paid leave and holidays, health, dental and life insurance, 401K, longevity pay and free nights and weekends.
