Eagle Feather Ceremony to Honor Academic Accomplishments of Native American Students
Nearly 100 high school seniors' perseverance to be rewarded with a symbol of great significance
WHAT: Cumberland County Schools' Eagle Feather Ceremony Honoring Class of 2024 Native American Seniors
WHEN: Thursday, May 2, 2024 6:00 p.m.
WHERE: Gray's Creek High School - Auditorium 5301 Celebration Drive Hope Mills, NC 28348
WHY: - To formally recognize and honor the academic accomplishments of Indigenous high school seniors in Cumberland County Schools
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

The 96 high school seniors will be representing 19 recognized American Indian Tribes.

The University of North Carolina at Pembroke and the American Indian Society of North Carolina will be presenting college scholarships to several of the students.

Seen as the first of its kind by a public school district in North Carolina, Cumberland County School's Eagle Feather Ceremony is in its fifth year.
