South View High School to Host CCS’ First-Ever JROTC Field Day
Cadets from across the county will compete to earn the title
WHAT:
JROTC teams from across Cumberland County Schools (CCS) will join together for the district’s first-ever JROTC Field Day. Teams will compete in multiple events, including squad drills, relay races, tug-o-war, an obstacle course, and more.

9:45 am. until 2 p.m. on Friday, March 15

WHY:
To provide an opportunity for cadets to work together as a team and showcase the skills they are learning in JROTC.
JROTC instructors and students will be available for interviews.
The U.S. Army Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps, or JROTC, is one of the largest character development and citizenship programs for youth in the world. The program is in 10 high schools in CCS with more than 1,200 cadets participating this year.
