Exhibition Pow Wow
In observance of American Indian Heritage Month, Cumberland County Schools' Indian Education Office is sponsoring an Exhibition Pow Wow on Thursday, November 16 from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. in the Cumberland County Crown Arena. Students from across the county have been invited to the event to learn about the American Indian Culture. This celebration will be a captivating and culturally enriching experience where the transformative power of music, dance and the school community come together.
Nov. 18 CCS Choice Fair 2023
CCS understands that Choice matters! That’s why Cumberland County Schools is excited to offer a wide selection of Choice programs to Cumberland County students in elementary, middle and high school. Students and their families can learn more about each program during CCS' Choice Fair 2023 on Saturday, November 18 from 9:00 a.m. until noon at E.E. Smith High. Principals and Academy Directors will be on hand during the Fair to provide information and answers to questions about Choice. For more info about CCS' Choice programs, click here.
Givin' Away FREE Thanksgiving Turkeys Members of South View High School's Ambush mentor group, Elizabeth Cashwell Elementary School and a local entrepreneur have 'teamed up' to give away free turkeys for Thanksgiving to those in need who live in the surrounding community. The turkey giveaway will take place on Saturday, November 18 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on the campus of South View High School.

Join Dr. Connelly during his next Committed CommUNITY Chat, which takes place in the Westover Attendance Area on Monday, November 20 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the cafeteria at Ben Martin Elementary School. Upcoming CCS Parent Advisory Council Meeting The Exceptional Children's November Parent Advisory Council meeting will be held on Monday, November 20 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. in the Board Room of the Central Services building, located at 2465 Gillespie Street, Fayetteville, NC 28306. Cumberland County Schools' Compliance Team will be sharing helpful information about IEPs and the re-evaluation process.
