 CCS' World Languages Office is proud to share that one of its former students, Deji Adeniyi (龙博文), a Seventy-First High School Class of 2014 and Vanderbilt University graduate, is currently in his final year at Columbia University Medical School. Before attending Columbia University, he was awarded the U.S. State Department Critical Language Scholar and U.S. Fulbright Grant to work/study in China and Taiwan. Adeniyi intends to specialize in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine and continues to utilize his Chinese proficiency in patient interactions.
 Members of the CCAPAP (Cumberland County Association of Principals and Assistant Principals) recently presented Dr. Connelly with a special plaque congratulating him on being selected as the Sandhills Regional Superintendent of the Year.
 In observance of North Carolina Arts in Education Week, Jack Britt High School Principal Scott Pope was featured on the North Carolina Arts Education Leadership Coalition Website. Pope was recently named by the North Carolina Music Educators Association (NCMEA) as the recipient of the NCMEA 2023 Honor Administrator Award.
