CCS Releases Community Conversations
Report on School Safety
We're excited to announce that the full report of community feedback from Cumberland County Schools' (CCS) Community Conversations event on school safety is now available for review. In the spring, over 200 district and community leaders, law enforcement officers, families, educators and students participated in the forum, "School Safety: Let's Talk About It!" sponsored by Cumberland Family Academy.
The report highlights valuable recommendations from the community regarding safety protocols in CCS. We presented this comprehensive report to the Board of Education, and now we want to share it widely with everyone in our community. It reflects the collective voice of our stakeholders and will serve as a guide for our future actions. In response to the feedback received, the school system is already taking steps to address some of the recommendations and improve safety measures.
We greatly appreciate the active participation and passionate conversations that took place during the Community Conversations event. By working together, we continue to prioritize the safety and well-being of our students, families, educators and staff.
