Upcoming Board Committee Meetings
The Auxiliary Services and Student Support Services Committees of the Cumberland County Board of Education (BOE) will hold meetings beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. The meeting will be open to the public via live-streaming available at https://www.youtube.com/user/CumberlandCoSch, and there will also be capacity-limited seating available to members of the public. Documents, attachments, and presentations to be considered or received by the BOE will be available for review by the public at the BoardDocs site, which may be accessed through a link appearing on the Cumberland County Schools homepage under BOARD OF EDUCATION (BOE), at www.ccs.k12.nc.us. As these are Committee Meetings of the Board, there will be no public comment period, but public comments can be shared at the Board's next regular meeting on March 14 in the Auditorium at the Education Resource Center (ERC), located at 396 Elementary Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28301.
Cumberland Family Academy #TBT – “Prepping for College: Admissions, Scholarships and More!” CCS families are being encouraged to join CCS on Thursday, March 9 at 6 p.m. for Cumberland Family Academy’s Throwback Thursday session titled “Prepping for College: Admissions, Scholarships and More!” Post-secondary education is a significant life change for students and their families. This session will share local college programming opportunities and will be streamed on the district's Facebook page.
National School Social Work Week
CCS is encouraging everyone to join in celebrating National School Social Work Week from March 5 - 11! This year's theme is “We Rise.” School Social Workers rise to share hope. They rise to listen and understand. They rise to challenge inequities. They rise to support CCS students and their families, and school communities.
