With just 10 days to go, Dare County is inviting community members to step up and be part of something truly special by volunteering at the Dare A250 Faire on Saturday, April 18, 2026.
This milestone celebration, honoring America’s 250th anniversary in the birthplace of America, will bring thousands of residents and visitors to downtown Manteo and Roanoke Island Festival Park for a day filled with history, entertainment, food, and community spirit. Making an event of this size successful takes a team—and volunteers are at the heart of it all.
Right now, one of the greatest needs is for volunteers at multiple parking locations for the event. These volunteers will help oversee parking areas, serve as a friendly point of contact for guests, and ensure everything runs smoothly in each designated lot. No special experience is required, just a welcoming attitude and a willingness to help.
Why volunteer?
- Be part of a once-in-a-generation community celebration
- Help create a positive and welcoming experience for visitors
- Meet new people and enjoy the energy of the Faire
- Play an important role behind the scenes of a major event
Join us in making the Dare A250 Faire an unforgettable day for our community and all who visit.
