Kiss & Fly

CLT Welcomes Busy Holiday Travel Week

Another holiday travel week is underway at CLT. Airport passengers are encouraged to be prepared and plan ahead for the large crowds that are expected in the upcoming days. To help ease traffic congestion on Airport roadways, a free Kiss and Fly lot has opened on Harlee Avenue.

The lot is available to travelers 6 a.m. – 10 p.m. daily through Friday, January 3. Passengers can be dropped off or picked up from the Kiss and Fly lot.

Departing passengers can conveniently take the shuttle from Long Term Lot 4 and arrive at the terminal within minutes.

Arriving passengers can access the Kiss and Fly lot by taking the Long Term Lot 4 shuttle bus from the lower level Arrivals/Baggage Claim area.

The new lot is easy to access and clearly identified with banners. Parking attendants are located inside the lot to assist passengers. Click here for driving directions to the Kiss and Fly lot.

CLT offers other convenient options to drop off and pick up passengers at the Airport, including inexpensive short term parking, Cell Phone lots and the Airport Overlook. Click here to learn more or visit newsroom.cltairport.com.

Christmas Tree Collection

On Monday, January 6, Solid Waste Services will begin collecting natural Christmas trees as yard waste. Artificial trees should be scheduled for bulky waste collection. To schedule a bulky waste collection, call 311 (704.336.7600) or schedule online.

Remember:

  • REMOVE all decorations and tree stands prior to placing Christmas trees at the curb
  • DO NOT place Christmas trees in rollout carts

Residents living in multi-family communities (apartment, townhome, condo, etc.) on the City’s multi-family contract can call 311 to schedule Christmas tree collection.

Solid Waste Services wants to remind residents to continue to properly dispose of garbage, yard waste, recyclables & bulky waste during the holiday season.
