In the spirit of Romare Bearden’s inspirational collage art, Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation explores a diverse musical palette through the Bearden Music Series.
Parking along the Park on Mint Street from 3rd Street to MLK Blvd, and 3rd Street from Church Street to Mint Street, will be restricted from July 10 through July 13.
ICC will be hosting their FanFest at Romare Bearden Park on July 20 for their soccer match at BOA Stadium.
Event hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Mint Street between 3rd Street and MLK Blvd will close Friday, July 19 , at 9 a.m. Mint Street will reopen at 7 p.m. on July 20 for the egress of the soccer game.

Arsenal FC are coming to Charlotte to play AC Roma in the International Champions Cup and this event is to support the Arsenal team.
Tryon Street between 5th St. and 6th St. will close at 7 a.m. and reopen on July 21 at 1 a.m.

The purpose of this event is to give away over 1,000 backpacks filled with school supplies to school age children in advance of the beginning of the school year. CMS Medical requirements will be addressed for children who have not completed those by the medical clinic affiliated with the Camino Center.
Stetson Drive between N. Tryon St. and the end of Stetson Drive and Tyner St. from Stetson Drive to University City Blvd. will close at 8 a.m. and reopen at 5 p.m.
The event begins Saturday, July 27 at 7 a.m. at the Morrison Family YMCA on Bryant Farms Road. Event organizers expect 800 attendees. The route uses Bryant Farms Road, Blakeney Heath Road, Ardrey Kell Road and Community House Road. Visit Morrison Family YMCA for more information.
