Important Information regarding the Renewal of NCGO1

The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality issued its new NC Construction Stormwater General Permit (NCG01) April 1, 2019.  As a result, for any project approved by the City on or after April 1, 2019 with one or more acre of land disturbance, the applicant is required to complete and submit an electronic Notice of Intent (NOI) form to State of North Carolina.  The purpose of the form is to request and obtain a Certificate of Coverage (COC) under the NCG01 Construction Stormwater General Permit.  It is the responsibility of the applicant to receive a COC prior to commencement of any land disturbing activity.

The NOI form may be accessed at https://edocs.deq.nc.gov/Forms/NCG01-NOI

The City’s Preconstruction Meeting Notification Form has also been revised to include a reminder about the COC.

For additional information please contact Jay Wilson at 704-432-0958.
