January 5: Strip It to Give It 8K and 5K

The event begins Saturday, January 5 at 11 a.m. at Fairview Avenue and Griffith Street. Event organizers expect 500 participants. The route includes South Tryon Street, East Bland Street, Charlotte Rail Trail and Clanton Road. Visit Strip It to Give It for more information.

The event begins Saturday, January 19 at 7 a.m. on South Mint Street. The 15K route uses Mint Street, Morehead Street, Charlotte Rail Trail, Kings Drive, Queens Road West, Tranquil Avenue, Manor Road, Westfield Road, Irby Drive, Jameston Drive, Princeton Avenue, Little Sugar Creek Greenway, Charlottetowne Avenue, Kenilworth Avenue and Stonewall Street. The 5K route uses Mint Street, Bland Street, Tryon Street, College Street, Charlotte Rail Trail, Morehead Street, McDowell Street and Stonewall Street. January 19: Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Parade
