Plaza/Atrium at 310 South Tryon Street. Event organizers expect 500
participants. The route uses South Tryon Street, Martin Luther King Jr.

College Gameday events begin on Saturday, December 2 from 9 a.m until noon. Two lanes of 3rd Street between Mint and Church streets will close Wednesday evening, November 29 until Saturday, December 2 at 6 p.m. for event setup, activities and tear down.

 Reindeer Romp 5K Walk/Run
The event begins on Saturday, December 2 at 8 a.m. at Independence Park.
Event organizers expect 500 attendees. The route uses Park Drive, Greenway Avenue,
Bascom Street, Lorna Street, Shenandoah Avenue, St. Julien Street and Laburnum

The event begins on Saturday, December 2

at 11 a.m. at Sugaw Creek Park. Event organizers expect 500 attendees. The
parade begins at the corner of West Sugar Creek Road and North Tryon Street and
will proceed down West Sugar Creek Road to Sugaw Creek Park. Visit Hidden Valley Community

The event begins on Saturday, December 2 at 2 p.m. until 7 p.m.
on South Tryon Street between Stonewall and 4th streets. Event organizers expect
20,000 attendees.
The following streets will close for set up, event activities and tear down.

- Levine Avenue between Tryon and Church streets
- Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard from Church to College streets (3rd Street remains open)

All streets reopen Saturday, December 2 at 11 p.m.

East Stonewall Street (between South
Tryon and South Brevard streets) and South College Street (between Morehead
Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard) will close on Sunday, December 3,
2017 at 3 p.m. and will re-open on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 5 p.m. This closure
is necessary for utility relocation in advance of the Tryon Place Development
construction.
Access will be maintained to all
businesses, parking facilities and residences by following these detour routes
around the street closure:
- Motorists travelling westbound on
East Stonewall Street can detour using South Caldwell Street, East Martin
Luther King Jr. Boulevard and South Tryon Street.
- Motorists travelling eastbound on
West Stonewall Street can detour using South Tryon Street, East 3rd Street, and
South Brevard Street.
- Motorists wanting to access College
Street from I-277 (John Belk Freeway) can detour using South Caldwell Street,
East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and South Tryon Street.
- Motorist wanting to access South
College Street from South Tryon Street can detour using South Tryon Street and
East 3rd Street.
This road will be closed to all
through traffic. CATS will be affected.

The event begins on Saturday, December 9 at 9 a.m. at the Whitehall
Corporate Center. Event organizers expect 1,000 attendees. The course uses Arco

 Girls on the Run® 5K
The parade begins on Saturday, December 9 at 11 a.m. at Lake
Wylie Elementary School. Event organizers expect 350 participants. The parade
route uses Erwin Road and Moss Road to South Tryon Street, ending at Good
