The Belk College Kickoff Game
FanFest is a free event that is open to the public on Saturday, September 2, 2017 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The Belk College game kickoff is at 3 p.m. at the Bank of
America Stadium. The following streets will close at 9 a.m. on Friday, September
1 and reopen at 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 2:
- Mint Street from Morehead Street to 1st Street,
- Graham Street between Mint Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, and
- Stonewall Street from Mint Street to Church Street.

The event is Saturday, September 2 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Cherry
Neighborhood Park. The event begins with a Kickoff Parade for the Annual Cherry
Reunion. Event organizers expect 100 attendees. The parade route includes South

Romare Bearden Park. This is an annual event to end event season at Romare

The event is Monday, September 4 at 10 a.m. at Reedy Creek

The parade begins on Monday,
September 4 at 11 a.m. at North Tryon Street and 11th Street. The
parade will follow the standard parade route down Tryon Street ending at 3rd
Street. Event organizers expect 1,000 attendees. Staging for the parade
will close Tryon Street between 9th Street and 11th Street and the cross
streets between Church Street and College Street at 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

The festival begins on
Thursday, September 7 at 11 a.m. at 600 East Boulevard. The event continues
through Sunday, September 10 at 8 p.m. Expect traffic

for All Feast Dinner includes performances to kick off the Culture for All

SouthEnd. Event organizers expect 400 attendees. The route uses West
Summit Avenue, South Mint Street, West Bland Street, South Tryon Street, Camden
Road, Charlotte Rail Trail, Remount Road, Dunavant Street, Hawkins Street and
West Tremont Avenue. The event benefits the Rail Trail in South End and The
Purple Promise Foundation to End Melanoma. The South End Shuffle 5K Awards
Ceremony and Celebration will be held at the Wooden Robot Brewery on South
Tryon Street following the race. During
the awards ceremony, Winnifred Street between West Summit Avenue and Winona

The Festival of India is an annual cultural
event and will be held on Saturday, September 9 from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m. and
Sunday, September 10, from 12 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Belk Theater. Tryon

Streets will close from 6 a.m. Saturday until 10:30 p.m. Sunday. Event
