Standards Manual Revision No. 16 Effective July 31st, 2017

Revised Details Now Available for Use

The updated details in Revision No. 16 of the CLDSM are now effective as of July 31, 2017.  To view the manual, visit http://charlottenc.gov/cldsm where you will find a PDF file containing an updated coversheet, revision log sheet, and only the updated details with this revision.  All .PDF and AutoCad .DWG files are updated on the website to reflect Revision No. 16.

Please note:  Any variations from the standard details shown on the CLDSM website shall be by special details shown on the project plans and are subject to approval by the City Engineer. Special details shall be conspicuously noted as "modified" and the City of Charlotte logo and references to standard numbers shall be removed.

Using Portable Devices on the City’s Network

Per the City of Charlotte’s IT Department, portable devices are not allowed to be used with the City’s Enterprise network.   Portable devices are defined as any removable media that can connect to a computer resource. These include simple media such as USB drives, CDs, DVDs, and SD cards. It also includes cell phones, MP3 players, tablets and external hard drives. Using personal USB drives, disks or other forms of removable media puts the Enterprise network at risk because files and programs on the drive are not being scanned before being put directly onto the City’s network.

For Presubmittal and Urban Conceptual meetings, if you have a site plan that you want available at the meeting,   please email the plan to Cate Marshal at Julia.marshall@ci.charlotte.nc.us, at least 5 days prior to your meeting.
