Start, Expand & Locate Your Business in Charlotte-Mecklenburg

The City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County are pleased to announce  the release of  Charlotte Mecklenburg Open Counter. Open Counter serves as a permit discovery and application tool for residents and small businesses.  Please use this tool to assist you in determining the zoning and permitting requirements for starting or expanding your business in Charlotte-Mecklenburg.  The site also has a link to Charlotte Zoning Check which will help you research where your proposed business is allowed based on current zoning rules.  The Open Counter site can be found at https://charlottemecklenburg.opencounter.com/en.
