The City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County are pleased to
announce the release of Charlotte Mecklenburg Open Counter. Open
Counter serves as a permit discovery and application tool for residents and
small businesses. Please use this tool to assist you in determining the
zoning and permitting requirements for starting or expanding your business in
Charlotte-Mecklenburg. The site also has a link to Charlotte Zoning
Check which will help you research where your proposed business is allowed
based on current zoning rules. The Open Counter site can be found at https://charlottemecklenburg.opencounter.com/en.
After 18 years as an Urban Forestry Specialist, Gary Turner retired at the end of April. Gary's knowledge and experience will be greatly missed by all who have had the pleasure of working with him. Please join us in wishing Gary the very best in his retirement!
Land Development is pleased to announce that Miriam Cattabriga has joined our staff as an Urban Forestry Specialist. Miriam has experience in Urban Forestry, Landscape Operation Management and Horticulture. Welcome, Miriam!
Kelly Robertson has accepted a position as a Zoning Plan Reviewer within Land Development after serving as a Urban Forestry Specialist for the past 12 years. Good luck, Kelly!

DEVELOPMENT SERVICES TECHNICAL ADVISORY (DSTAC) COMMITTEE: Meetings
are typically held on the second Wednesday of each month in Room 136 of the
Charlotte Mecklenburg Government Center (600 East Fourth Street, Charlotte, NC)
from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm.
STORM WATER ADVISORY COMMISSION (SWAC) MEETING:
Meetings are typically held on the third Thursday of each month at 4:30 pm at the
Mecklenburg County Offices at 2145 Suttle Avenue, Charlotte, NC.
TREE ADVISORY COMMISSION: Meetings are typically
held on the third Tuesday of every month at the Charlotte Mecklenburg
Government Center (600 East Fourth Street, Charlotte, NC) beginning at 5:00 pm.
