OPENING RECEPTION AND EXHIBIT KICKOFF

This year's exhibit features more than 250 works of art -- from painting and sculpture to textiles, photography and mixed media. Join us in recognizing the artists and kicking off this month-long exhibit.

When: Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 5 p.m.

Where: Charlotte Mecklenburg Government Center, 600 East 4th Street, Charlotte, NC 28202 (map)

Awards will be presented for each category (adult amateur, adult intermediate, adult professional, youth and teen). The event features live music, food and door prizes. Please bring your family and friends!

About the National Arts Program
The National Arts Program fosters creativity by providing artists of all ages, backgrounds and levels of talent an opportunity to exhibit their works publicly. The National Arts Program Foundation, Inc. sponsors the program in support and cooperation with the Arts & Science Council, the City of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Library. Similar programs sponsored by the National Arts Program Foundation take place in approximately 200 cities across the United States each year. Local professional artists and art professionals judge the exhibit. Cash awards are given to participants for original, creative contributions in the field of fine arts and crafts.
