The
Novant Health Charlotte Marathon is Saturday, November 12 at 7:30 a.m. at
Romare Bearden Park, 300 South Church Street. This popular event, formerly the Thunder
Road Marathon, Half-Marathon & 5K, involves numerous street and lane
closures along the marathon route. The marathon will begin at South Graham
Street at 7:30 a.m. It follows a course through the
Dilworth, Myers Park, South End, Third Ward, Belmont, NoDa, Plaza-Midwood, Chantilly, Elizabeth, and Second Ward neighborhoods. The
race will finish on South Mint Street. Traffic delays should be expected along

Staging for the
NFL Productions for the Carolina Panthers game on November 17 will begin on
November 16. Mint Street will be closed from Stonewall/Graham to Morehead
Street from Wednesday, November 16 at 6 p.m. until Friday, November 18 at 5 a.m.
Motorists should expect delays.
The event begins on Saturday, November 19 at 8 a.m. at the Johnson YMCA on
North Davidson Street. Event organizers expect 250 attendees. The route will use
North Davidson Street, Anderson Street, Spencer Street, East 36th
Street, North Alexander Street, East 32nd Street, Yadkin Avenue,
East 34th Street, North McDowell Street, East 35th Street

The event begins on Saturday, November 19 at 8 a.m. at Carolinas
Medical Center. Event organizers expect 900 attendees. The route will begin and
end between Brunswick Avenue and Ardsley Road. The route also uses Kings Drive

The race will begin at Saturday, November 19 at 9 a.m. at Whitehall Business Park. Event organizers
expect 1,200 participants. The course uses Arco Corporate Drive and Whitehall

The event begins Saturday, November 19 at 9:30 a.m. at Marshall
Park. Event organizers expect 1,300 participants. The route uses East 4th
Street, South Kings Drive, East 3rd Street, Baxter Street, South McDowell

The lighting of the tree will take place on Wednesday, November
23 at 6 p.m. on the corner of Mint Street and Graham Street. Event organizers
expect 6,000 attendees. Graham Street from Martin Luther King Jr.
Boulevard to Mint Street and Mint Street from 1st Street to Morehead Street
will close at 9:30 a.m. and reopen at 11 p.m. Visit Carolina

The 70th Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade begins at 9:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, at
Stonewall Street and South Tryon Street. The parade will continue north on
Tryon Street to 9th Street where it will disperse. Event organizers expect 40,000 attendees.

Heath Road and Parks Farm Lane. The 1-mile run uses Rea Road, Williams Pond

The tree lighting ceremony for the Christmas Tree at Holiday On Ice at
the NASCAR Hall of Fame Plaza is Saturday, November 26 at 5 p.m. Event

between South Brevard Street and South Caldwell Street will be closed from noon
