After review and acceptance of the surety, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Planning Department will be notified that the required surety has been posted. The Planning Department coordinates the release of the plat.
Effective August 1, 2016 the signed
NCDOT Street and Driveway Access Permit Application and the required stamped
approved plans will be available to download from Accela for all approved
subdivision preliminary plans. This
process applies to projects that require a NCDOT Street and Driveway
Access Permit. This process enhancement eliminates
the current step which is to bring hard copies of the application and plan sets
to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center for signatures/stamps.
Please note that two (2)
hard copies of the signed application, two (2) hard copies of the stamped
approved plan set and a PDF of the approved plan set on a CD must be delivered
directly to the NCDOT District Office. The
signed application and stamped plans will be able to be downloaded from Accela.
Subdivision preliminary plans
which require an application from NCDOT must submit a signed NCDOT Street and
Driveway Access Permit Application through Accela as part of the preliminary
plan submittal requirements. This new
submittal requirement will be added to the Subdivision Gateway Checklist.
