June 2016
As part of the Gartner Report to improve the delivery of Development Planning, Permitting and
Inspection services, Ed Gagnon of Customer Service Solutions met with staff
and the development community to gather input and brainstorm on ways to improve
our services. During these meetings, staff and the
development community collaborated to establish a listing of staff responsibilities,
customer responsibilities and shared responsibilities. Click here to view a diagram of these responsibilities.
Land Development staff is available to meet with your
organization to further discuss the Shared Responsibilities. Please contact Land Development Customer
Service at 704-336-6692 to schedule a convenient time for staff to visit your
organization.
The Charlotte Land Development Standards Manual (CLDSM)
committee has determined that updates are required to various CLDSM
details. Beginning in June the draft revised details will be posted for
public review and comment on the CLDSM webpage at http://cldsm.charmeck.org. A Revision Log will
list proposed changes, and the revisions will be highlighted on each detail in
a PDF file. If you are not already subscribed, click the “notify me” icon
on the CLDSM webpage to stay in the loop on changes and updates to the
manual. Prior to the proposed effective date of July 29, 2016,
please provide any feedback or comments on the proposed changes via e-mail to
Brendan Smith, E&PM Land Development Division at bmsmith@charlottenc.gov.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services (CMSWS) is updating the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Best Management Practices Design Manual (BMP Manual). We are requesting input from interested parties on proposed revisions. The BMP Manual presents technical and engineering procedures and criteria needed to comply with BMP design requirements contained in post-construction stormwater ordinances and watershed protection overlay ordinances in the City of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County and the six Towns.
To propose changes to the BMP Manual, please send correspondence via email to Mike MacIntyre at michael.macintyre@mecklenburgcountync.gov by July 15, 2016 in the following format:
