May 18-22 is Heat Awareness Week
It's important for us all to prepare for extreme heat as rising temperatures threaten public health and safety. Along with Orange County and the Towns of Hillsborough and Carrboro, we've finalized and approved a Heat Action Plan to better prepare for and respond to heat. The plan focuses on improving emergency responses, expanding access to cooling resources, and ensuring that vulnerable populations are better informed and protected.

Changes are Coming to Resident Reporter Center
The Resident Reporter Center is the place where you can report non-emergency issues in town, such as potholes, traffic signals out, or street signs down. We've heard your feedback, and we're continuing to adapt and make changes. This is what we're currently working on:
- Sending more notifications on the status of a work ticket.
- Reviewing our internal processes for more streamlined responses.
- Improving the types of categories and how you can select them.
If you have more comments on the platform, please send them to us at info@chapelhillnc.gov.
