Town Council met for a business meeting on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in Chapel Hill Town Hall.

Resolution Supporting the 4th and 5th Amendments of the US Constitution
Council adopted a resolution supporting the 4th and 5th amendments of the U.S. Constitution and civil rights of the Chapel Hill Community. They encouraged all Town of Chapel Hill workplaces, schools, health care facilities, senior care centers, residential communities, and faith-based organizations to support efforts to ensure respect for the Constitution and inform all people of their rights and responsibilities. Women’s History Month Proclamation
Council proclaimed March as Women’s History Month in the Town of Chapel Hill, encouraging everyone to recognize, celebrate, and support the achievement, leadership, and contributions of women in our community and beyond.
Transit Employee Appreciation Day Proclamation
Council proclaimed March 18, 2026, as Transit Employee Appreciation Day in the Town of Chapel Hill, encouraging all residents and visitors to incorporate public transit into their transportation routines, to become advocates for local and regional public transit, and most important, to thank our local and regional bus operators at every opportunity.
Bond Issuance for Redevelopment of Chase Park and Elliott Woods Apartments
Council opened a public hearing and received public comment on the Town acting as the issuer of multifamily housing revenue bonds on behalf of Vitus for the acquisition and rehabilitation of Elliot Woods and Chase Park Apartments.
Economic Development Incentive for Eats to Seats
Council adopted a resolution authorizing the Town Manager to sign the EATS2SEATS LLC Incentive Agreement, which provides up to 10 parking spaces for five years and depends on the company creating 41 new jobs in town.
