Thanks for your patience as crews continue to plow the streets in our community. Overnight temperatures will get below freezing again, so we remind folks to stay off the roads if you can. Tomorrow, Town facilities will operate on a delayed opening. Here are the service facility details:
Town Facility and Service Changes
Food Distribution
- The food distribution that was rescheduled to Tuesday, Feb. 3 is cancelled. The next food distribution is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 11.
Solid Waste Services

Tuesday, Feb. 3: There will be no Solid Waste pickup.
- Crews will collect Monday’s trash on Wednesday and Tuesday’s trash on Thursday this week.
- They also plan to collect Thursday’s yard trimmings on Friday and cancel Friday’s yard trimmings collections this week.
Transit
- The Tar Heel Express will run tonight

Tuesday, Feb. 3: Transit is scheduled to begin modified service at 9 a.m.
- CCX, F, G, and 420 routes will not operate.
- Use caution when getting to and from bus stops.
Parks and Recreation

Tuesday, Feb. 3: Facilities are scheduled to open at 11 a.m.
- There might be delays in usability of outdoor facilities while they thaw naturally.
Chapel Hill Public Library

Tuesday, Feb. 3: The library is scheduled to open at 11 a.m.
- Any programs scheduled to happen before 11 a.m. will be cancelled.
Town Hall

Caldwell St. Housing Office
