Cybersecurity Awareness Month Proclamation
Council proclaimed October as Cybersecurity Awareness Month and called upon our community to observe this month by taking action to protect their digital presence, remaining vigilant against evolving cyber threats, and supporting collective efforts to build a safer, more resilient cyber environment for all.
Domestic Violence Awareness Month Proclamation
Council proclaimed October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month and encouraged the community to join the collective voice in support of survivors and commit to building a community free from violence and abuse.
First Responders Day Proclamation
Council proclaimed October 28 as First Responders Day and urged all residents to appreciate law enforcement, firefighters, crisis responders, public works employees and other emergency personnel and the substantial contributions they make to protecting our health, safety, and quality of life.
Conditional Zoning Application for 115 Chapel Point Road
Council continued a legislative hearing for a development proposal at 115 Chapel Point Rd and received presentations from the applicant and Town planning staff. Council closed the hearing and voted 7-1 to approve the application.

Council continued a legislative hearing for a development proposal at 5640 Old Chapel Hill Road and received presentations from the applicant and Town planning staff. Council closed the hearing and voted 8-0 to approve the application.
Omnibus Text Amendment to the Land Use Management Ordinance and Town Code
Council opened a public hearing about proposed LUMO text amendments, received public comment, provided feedback, and continued the hearing to November 19, 2025.
