Join the Sustainability Showdown: A Local Government and Community Challenge |
|
|
As a pilot project with our partner EarthShare NC, we invite community members to participate in a two-week Sustainability Showdown challenge competing against two other North Carolina communities for bragging rights as the most sustainable community. The challenge is in partnership with the City of Greensboro, the Town of Davidson, and EarthShare North Carolina.
It's easy - download the Sow Green App before September 8, and start logging your sustainable activities between September 8 and September 19.
Participants will commit to challenging themselves to adopting more sustainable habits while competing on a team with their fellow community members leading up to NC Climate Week, which starts September 29. Points toward the Town of Chapel Hill team are awarded when participants log sustainability actions in a downloadable app over the two-week timeframe. These actions will help reduce waste, save energy, improve our community’s well-being, and show that the Town of Chapel Hill leads the way in sustainability!
How to Participate:
- Download the Sow Green App
- Enter access code impact to create your account
- Navigate to "Challenges," then find "NC Climate Week Sustainability Showdown," and click "Join"
- Find the Town of Chapel Hill team and click "Join."
- Be ready to log actions once the challenge starts on September 8
