Town Service Changes for Thursday, June 19
Juneteenth, Thursday, June 19, is a Town holiday. Most Town offices will be closed. Attend the annual Carrboro-Chapel Hill Juneteenth Celebration at Carrboro Town Commons from 4 to 8 p.m. Please plan for the following changes:

Residential trash pickup will not be affected.

Crews will not collect commercial trash on Thursday, June 19. They will collect it by the end of the week.

Crews will not collect yard trimmings on Thursday, June 19. There’s no make-up day.
Orange County Recycling Collection

Orange County will not collect curbside recycling on Thursday, June 19. Thursday recycling will be collected on Friday, June 20. Friday recycling will be collected on Saturday, June 21.

Orange County Landfill and Waste and Recycling Centers will be closed.
Chapel Hill Public Library will be closed Thursday, June 19.
Chapel Hill Transit will operate NS and FCX on their regular weekday schedule. There will be no service from Chatham Park and Ride or Jones Ferry Park and Ride. All other routes will run their Sunday schedules.
Public Housing’s administrative office on Caldwell St. will be closed.

Facilities open Thursday, June 19, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Homestead Aquatic Center, Community Center and pool, Nate Davis Sr. Gymnasium, and A.D. Clark outdoor pool
