Secretary of State's Office completes ballot certification for 2024 General Election
HELENA, Mont. — The Montana Secretary of State's Office completed the 2024 General Election ballot certification on Thursday.
Pursuant to Montana law, county election administrators certify the names of local candidates and local ballot issues to appear on the General Election ballot. In contrast, the Secretary of State's Office certifies the names and designations of statewide and state district candidates and statewide ballot issues.
The Secretary of State's Office has updated its website with the certified ballot issues, and a list of candidate names certified for the 2024 General Election ballot will be created and will be available online.
The Mission of the Office of the Secretary of State is to protect the integrity of elections, be an asset to businesses and preserve official history.
