 Secretary Christi Jacobsen: 'Montana precincts 100 percent reporting'
HELENA, Mont. — All 663 of Montana’s precincts are fully reported following Tuesday’s midterm General Election. Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen announced the update on Thursday morning after the final counties had marked precincts as fully reported.
As of Thursday morning, the state’s total turnout sat at 459,441, though the counting of provisional ballots and certain absentee military and overseas ballots will take place on Monday afternoon.
Montanans cast votes for local candidates and ballot issues, state Senate and House seats, local judicial races and the State Supreme Court, as well as the Public Service Commission. Montana also gained a second seat in the U.S. House following the 2020 census results, leading to voters selecting U.S. Representatives for Montana's First and Second Districts.
“Thank you to the voters across Montana for participating in this historic election,” said Secretary Jacobsen. “Voting remains one of our most important duties as Montanans, and participating allows you to determine the leaders of our state.”
Results can be found online (https://electionresults.mt.gov). Counties will update results following Monday afternoon’s tabulation of accepted provisional ballots and military/overseas elector ballots.
All results are unofficial until canvassed.
