Join us at the 2022 OPI Summer Institute, which will include two Montana Gifted and Talented Presenters!

This session will help you to build your tool kit in order to be flexible and responsive with the gifted kids who will spend their weeks with you. Particular focus will be given to young gifted students, but resources for P-5 will be explored.

This Year's Kid, Not Next Year's Teacher
This session aims to equip you with thought-provoking ways to promote and explain the essence and purpose of gifted education. It all begins by focusing on this year’s kid, not next year’s teacher!
Gifted Education and MTSS Getting Started: A Gifted Program for your School
Objectives: Learn what MT state law & accreditation standards say regarding gifted students & appropriate services for them. Learn strategies for beginning the process of creating/implementing a gifted program in their school. Create and implement a gifted program and gifted services in your school/district.
Get Out of My Way: Independent Research, Creative Productivity, and Personalization of Learning
Objectives: Inspire with student examples. Equip teachers and Gifted Education Specialists to open independent project opportunities with their students. Provide the theory behind this service option.
