MONTANA DRIVE ONE-DAY WORKSHOPS

Montana DRIVE logo

JUNE 6 THROUGH AUGUST 11, 2022
(no workshops during July 4 week)

Workshops fill up quickly.  See calendar below and register soon!

Come to Lewistown this summer for a fun and active behind-the-wheel workshop that improves driver skill and confidence. All drivers are welcome!

Since 1979 our professional driving instructors have trained more than 16,000 drivers in off-road recovery, skid control, and evasive maneuvers. Montana DRIVE summer workshops include two hours of classroom instruction and six hours driving vehicles on a safe, closed track adjacent to the Lewistown Airport. The one-day workshop is limited to 12 drivers per day. Watch our YouTube videos on the Montana DRIVE website for an introduction to some of the driving exercises featured in the workshop.

For drivers over 55, the completion of this workshop can lower auto insurance premiums. Check with your insurance agent to learn more.

Space is limited and workshops fill up quickly. You get $10 off if registered by March 5!

HOW TO REGISTER: Visit Montana DRIVE for registration details and to view the 2022 workshop calendar (also provided below along with our COVID-19 prevention measures).  All workshop participants (or their employer) must pre-register and pre-pay the workshop. The cost for a one-day adult workshop is $335. Register by March 5 for an early registration discount of $10.00 per driver. Submit your registration online, receive an invoice, and pay within 30 days to confirm the reserved workshop.

If your employer is paying for you and/or you are going with a group from the same company/agency, please coordinate with your supervisor or billing contact to combine the registration into one order, if possible.

REGISTER BY EMAIL: If you have registered drivers to attend a Montana DRIVE Workshop in the recent past, you can bypass the registration form and just send your request by email. Be sure to check the calendar to make sure your preferred dates are available, then send an email to montanadrive@mt.gov with billing contact info, TWO preferred dates, and the drivers' names.  If you do not know your drivers' names and want to reserve a certain number of workshops and send names later, you may do that.

PAYMENT: Pay by check or credit card (VISA and MasterCard only) when we email your invoice to you with a link to the payment processing site. A $1.00 fee will apply. State of Montana employees should send the Montana DRIVE invoice to their billing contact for payment via InterUnit Journal (IUJ).

ABOUT TEEN WEEK: One-day Teen Workshops will be offered July 18-22 this year. Registration for the Teen Workshops will begin in March and an email will be sent out at that time with all the details.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS: Please help us eliminate “no shows.” We train only 12 drivers per workshop day and want to keep each workshop filled. Notify our office as soon as possible if you need to reschedule the workshop date, change drivers, or cancel a workshop.

New Refund Policy: With a 10-day advance notice of cancellation, we will issue full refunds. No-shows will NOT be refunded.

Share this announcement with co-workers, friends, and family. And please register early to get the workshop day you want.
