Parent Roadmap

The OPI collaborated with the Council of the Great City Schools to offer parent grade level roadmaps for mathematics and English language arts and literacy. The parent roadmaps  and other resources for parents can be found on the OPI Just for Parents webpage.


America's Math Curriculum Doesn't Add Up

Most high-school math classes are still preparing students for the Sputnik era. Steve Levitt, of Freakonomics, wants to get rid of the “geometry sandwich” and instead have kids learn what they really need in the modern era: data fluency. Summer AP Course Professional Development in Montana

Believe it or not, it is time to begin thinking about summer plans! School Services of Montana is hosting the 2020 AP Summer Institute in Bozeman, June 22-25. If you would like to pre-register, email Jennifer Brekke at jbrekke@mt-schools.org with your contact and district information, and list your preferred subject area. 2020 subject areas include: Calculus A/B, Chemistry, Computer Science A, English Literature & Composition and Statistics. More information can be found on their website.
