This biweekly digest consolidates and archives events and news from various library directed outreach from the Montana Library Network within the Montana State Library. It goes out on the first and third Tuesdays of each month.

Montana Library Network Technical Support Specialist:
This position provides technical support to library staff for MontanaLibrary2Go, OCLC, the hot spot lending program, and the ASPeN library directory/CE tracker. This position also works with State Library staff to support our internal technical and administrative support needs in the library development department, such as basic website maintenance and running statistical reports as requested.

This position requires, at minimum, an associate's degree in a field that uses technology. Library work experience and customer service experience is a plus! This is a telework-eligible position. People who are service oriented, self-motivated, organized, clear communicators, problem solvers, and who wouldn't mind working at a computer all day would be a great fit for this job. Statewide Library Consultant:
This position is responsible for assisting the Montana library community in building their capacity to better serve their community members. This position provides consultation, continuing education, and facilitation on operations, management, governance, and other services to all types of libraries. The incumbent will plan, implement, and evaluate programs for the improvement of library and information services statewide. We are seeking an individual who is a collaborative self-starter with a passion to assist libraries and their governing boards through training, problem solving, and advising.

This is a full time, permanent position that is eligible for all applicable state benefits and retirement. The MSL agency office is located in Helena and remote work locations within the state of Montana may be considered for this position.
