Kansas: On Friday, September 13, 2024, Kansas WIC was part of a team that hosted a delegation of eight Colombian officials representing the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Commerce and INVIMA. During the visit information was provided on Federal, State, and Local roles supporting WIC operations. The visit also included a WIC clinic tour, a mock client appointment, and a visit to an approved WIC vendor. This event was a part of the delegation’s week-long visit to other Federal agencies and Universities to inform Colombian regulators and policymakers of good regulatory practices and evidence-based nutrition policy options as they work to promote healthy diets and address diet related non-communicable diseases such as obesity. |
