Aimee Duncan, RD started at the State Office today. Breastfeeding Coordinator duties will be transitioning from Chris Fogelman to Aimee, this includes oversight of the Breastfeeding Peer Counseling Program.
Aimee has experience in clinical dietetics as well as WIC. She was a WIC RD and clinic coordinator in Alaska. She is familiar with EBT as she was involved with the planning and testing for roll-out in AK, she also worked with the SPIRIT system. Additionally, she has completed the Certified Lactation Specialist course (similar to CLC). Please join us in welcoming Aimee to the State team!

Sign up’s for new employee training are now available for the March 3rd-5th, 2020 training. The tentative agenda has been developed but may change slightly. Please completed the registration form and submit to Lacy by January 31st, 2020. |

The State WIC Office has received the new “And Justice For All” posters. Please email Lacy how many posters your agency needs to replace the current ones in the office. |

New substance abuse pads have been directly mailed to all independently operating clinics. These were developed by regions (West, Central, and East) and include all facilities that provide substance abuse and/or mental health resources. The resources identified were from the website on the previous handout.
These must be provided for each certification, per household. This is new!
