New Made in Montana Member Portal

The Made in Montana program is upgrading to a new system this fall, and we’re excited to share this with you.  Our team at the Department of Commerce started working on this project two years ago with the goal of offering a Made in Montana member portal that works for the members.

In our new system, members will have the ability to manage their information, edit product listings with new pictures and updates, add more than one social media or online profile, and combine multiple listings in one account.  This will streamline your membership renewal dates and give you the power to edit/update your listing.

The new system will start with a soft launch in mid-November.  We want to make sure we don’t lose any business information during the migration of information from our old database to our new system.   During this transition, you might notice that the online directory of products is unavailable for a day, or it might take an extra time for us to respond to an email or phone call.

When it’s time for your annual membership renewal, you’ll receive information on how to access your account in the new system. If want to access your account sooner, contact us in December and we’d be happy to email you more information and instructions.

The Made in Montana team is here to help answer questions and walk you through anything that isn’t clear.  We’re excited for this upgrade and look forward to sharing it with you!

Jefferson City Business Brings Microgreens to the Helena Area

Last year in October, the Swenson family had the idea to grow and sell microgreens because of how involved it is in their diet.

Microgreens are young seedlings of edible vegetables and herbs. Unlike larger herbs and vegetables that take weeks or months to grow, microgreens can be harvested and eaten for around five to 30 days depending on the type it is. Jana Swanson has a variety of different microgreens, all with different growth patterns.
