2022 Montana Housing Partnership Virtual Conference

The virtual 2022 Montana Housing Partnership Conference is coming up June 14-15. The conference is offering two days packed full of great content including 15 sessions and three great plenary sessions!

To open this year's conference, we will hear from a panel discussing the state's role in housing affordability. Joining us will be: Kevin Gartland, Whitefish Chamber of Commerce Dave Fern (D) Tom Welch (R) Kelly Lynch, Montana League of Cities and Towns

Starting our day on Wednesday, we welcome filmmaker, Sara Terry, who will be sharing her film, The Carlyle Group vs The American Dream. Sara will talk with us about the film and what happens to residents once private equity becomes the landlord. Terry is a member of the International Cinematographers Guild, and has worked as a story consultant/consulting producer/grant writer on more than a dozen documentaries.

For the closing plenary we are thrilled to welcome Dr. Megan Sandel for a keynote talk about how stable, decent, affordable homes are a foundation of health for children, families, and communities. Dr. Sandel is Co-Director of the GROW clinic at Boston Medical Center, Co-Lead Principal Investigator with Children’s HealthWatch and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Boston University Schools of Medicine and Public Health.

• We will be honoring retirees who have retired from housing work in Montana in the last year (dating back to the beginning of 2021). We are asking for your help in cultivating that list! If you have a staff member, board member, or supporter of your work you’d like to honor, please fill out this google form. We will be turning these all into a slideshow that will be shown at the conference. We will need your response no later than Wednesday, June 1^st.
