Public Hearing: 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community Development

The Montana Departments of Commerce and Public Health & Human Services announce the public comment period for the 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community Development (Consolidated Plan)

The 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community Development (Consolidated Plan) is available for public comment April 8, 2021 through April 23, 2021.

The Consolidated Plan is developed every five years and helps the Montana Departments of Commerce and Public Health and Human Services assess affordable housing and community development needs to determine funding priorities and program structure for CDBG, HOME, Housing Trust Fund, and Emergency Solutions Grants.

All comments must be submitted to Commerce no later than 5:00 p.m. on April 23, 2021. The Consolidated Plan is available electronically at: https://commerce.mt.gov/conplan/documents, in hardcopy by request, or at select locations around the state. These locations may be found on Commerce’s website: http://commerce.mt.gov/conplan/repositories.

The Departments invite you to participate in a virtual public hearing for the 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan. The public hearing will provide an overview of the Consolidated Plan requirements, affected programs, public participation process, and report as well as solicit input from attendees regarding the report and the use of funds to assist communities with housing and community development needs.

The 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan public hearing is Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. The public hearing is open to all but will be limited to webinar and phone participation due to COVID-19. To participate in the public hearing via webinar or phone, please register using the link provided at: https://commerce.mt.gov/conplan/updates.

The Department of Commerce will make reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities or persons with limited English proficiency who wish to participate in this process or need an alternative accessible format of this notice or presentation materials. Presentation materials will be provided in advance of the hearing.
