Commerce is happy to share that the Council of Development Finance Agency is offering an "Intro to Opportunity Zone Finance" WebCourse

 

WHEN: September 24-25, 2019 from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. MST

 

CFDA’s  Intro Opportunity Zones Finance WebCourse brings together experts to educate and review the most up-to-date thinking and strategies on how to best attract zone investments and make the most of an Opportunity Zone designation. The web course will help communities understand how the development finance toolbox can encourage and supplement Opportunity Fund investments. Topics include:

  • An introduction to Opportunity Zones
  • Understand the many players in the Opportunity Zone industry
  • Best practice principles for Opportunity Zones and Opportunity Funds
  • How to identify funders to how to market zones
  • Discuss how to Opportunity Zones could fund community revitalization
  • Examine best practices
  • Create networks and project nexus for potential future investment
