Tourism Award Finalists Announced

We are pleased to announce the finalists for the 2019 Tourism Awards.

Heritage and Cultural Tourism: Archie Bray Foundation, Blackwood Pathways: Sculpture in the Wild, and Kootenai Country Montana Chainsaw Carving Championship

Marketing Campaign of the Year: Gardiner Montana Chamber of Commerce & CVB, Glendive CVB, Weekend Guide To, and West Yellowstone Chamber of Commerce & CVB

Outstanding Tourism Volunteer Award: Active Members of Montana Ambassadors, Cycle Greater Yellowstone Crew, Halley Perry and Stephanie Sorini

Private & Public Collaboration Award: The City of Shelby and the Carousel Rest Area of Shelby, The City of Whitefish and Whitefish Legacy Partners, Milltown State Park and multiple private and public partners, and UFS, BLM, MT State Parks and Montana Wilderness Association, with multiple business partners.

Tourism Ambassador of the Year: Betty Stone, Chris Burke, Diane Medler, Jeff Ewelt, and Shirley Beck

All finalists will be recognized and the winners announced at the Tourism Awards banquet on Monday, April 15 at 7 pm at the Conference.

Rails & Trails Fam Tour - spots available!

Join us in Butte on Sunday, April 15 to kick off the Governor’s Conference with a Familiarization Tour! We have several spots available in Rails and Trails from 9:20 am – 12:00 pm. Enjoy the fresh air and beauty of Thompson Park in the spring. This easy, 1.5 mile round trip hike on groomed trails will follow a short stretch of the Milwaukee Road in Butte’s backyard. Stretch your legs and be back in time for lunch in Butte and afternoon sight-seeing before our evening activities.
