The Montana Department of Commerce is launching a search to
find the next administrator for the Office of Tourism and Business Development.
The administrator of the office oversees Montana’s core economic development,
business assistance, and tourism marketing programs.
We’re launching this search after former division administrator
Sean Becker shifted to lead Commerce’s Business Assistance Bureau, and interim
division administrator Casey Lozar has been named Assistant Vice President-
Regional Outreach Executive of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis Helena
Branch. While Commerce is losing an
incredibly talented manager in Casey, the Department and our partners will gain
a valuable connection to the Federal Reserve Bank.
During this recruitment process, the Office of Tourism and
Business Development at Commerce remains committed to doing our work to support
business and industry growth, and the promotion of Montana as a premier travel
destination. That’s why I’ve asked Marketing Director Jenny Pelej to serve as
interim division administrator during Commerce’s search for a permanent
manager.
Commerce’s permanent division administrator search begins
today. If you know an innovative leader who has a strong background in economic
development, business assistance or tourism marketing, we want to meet that
person. We’ll be posting the job soon.
Best,
PAM HAXBY-COTE Director, Montana Department of Commerce
