NASS GERMANY VISIT
It was an honor to join 11 of my National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) colleagues on our first official visit to Germany! Our bipartisan delegation convened for one week with the Aspen Institute Germany and representatives from the German Embassy Washington.
During our visit, we engaged in important discussions about cybersecurity practices, democracy relating to election administration and security, transatlantic cooperation, and civic education. We met with government leaders, academic experts, and local journalists to gain valuable insight and exchange ideas with key German leaders.
Our American Secretaries of State play a crucial role in understanding and addressing today's most significant challenges, both domestic and abroad. Supporting open dialogue and meaningful conversation ensures our statewide efforts are being replicated across the world.
Representing our beloved Hospitality State on a global scale while strengthening U.S. relations with Germany was an incredible opportunity. While I'm thankful to lead NASS this year, I'm even prouder to be a Mississippian.

NVRM, NOVEMBER 4 ELECTIONS
This September was another successful National Voter Registration Month. From Hinds Community College to Mississippi State University, our team hosted voter registration drives throughout the state on our fourth annual Voter Registration Roadtrip. Since taking office in 2020, we are proud to have helped register over 382,000 voters in Mississippi.
The October 6 voter registration deadline is quickly approaching. Various districts in 36 counties across Mississippi will have elections on November 4. I encourage you to visit our My Election Day portal today to check for a race in your area.
While the offices on the November 4 ballots may not be presidential or federal, these local offices impact our everyday lives much more quickly. We need an engaged electorate now more than ever.
Should you have questions about voter registration or the upcoming elections, I encourage you to contact our Elections Division at ElectionsAnswers@sos.ms.gov or visit YallVote.ms.

STUDENT AMBASSADOR FALL SUMMIT
We welcomed the 2025-2026 SOS Student Ambassadors to the Two Mississippi Museums in Jackson for their inaugural summit. These high school seniors participated in informational sessions, a Lunch & Learn with the C Spire Foundation, and a tour of the Mississippi Governor's Mansion.
Each year, our Ambassadors continue to amaze me with their passion for leadership and service. These students are truly some of Mississippi's best and brightest. I'm challenged by them every day to ensure we mentor our next generation of leaders while creating a brighter future for all!

I always enjoy returning home to the coast, especially to visit with the Jackson County Republican Women. It was a special homecoming with my dear friend and mentor Senator Trent Lott joining us to share some stories and laughs. Grateful for engaged groups like the JCRW and the hard work they do for their communities.

NEW NASS COMMITTEE CO-CHAIRS
I'm thrilled to announce our new NASS Committee Co-Chairs. These members of NASS will work alongside our Executive Board during the 2025-2026 term to lead this historic association. From Business Services to Technology and Security, these committees keep our states informed on these crucial areas.
I'm proud of what we've accomplished in my first two months as NASS President, but the work is just beginning. Looking forward to the rest of the year with these fine men and women as we collaborate to better serve all Americans.

MISSISSIPPI JOINS THE NASAA BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Proud of my good friend Eric Slee, our Assistant Secretary of State for Securities, for being selected to represent Mississippi on the 2025-2026 Board of Directors for the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA).
One of the responsibilities our office is tasked with is the regulation of the sale of securities and their professionals in Mississippi. Eric and his team in our Securities Division do phenomenal work to protect Mississippi investors and their hard-earned dollars. It's great to see their efforts recognized on the national level.
