Recently, U.S. Senators Marsha Blackburn (TN) and Amy Klobuchar (MN) introduced the Combating Trafficking in Transportation Act in the U.S. Senate, which would give states flexibility with federal funding to post trafficking awareness signage at rest stops and welcome centers throughout the Interstate System.
In Senator Blackburn's video, she provides an update to MBAT members about this act and other federal legislation to combat trafficking across the United States.
If you suspect a person may be a victim of sex or labor trafficking, contact the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 888-373-7888. As MBAT members, we encourage you to remain vigilant as trafficking is not only on the rise but all around us.
