Free Virtual Event: U.S. Chamber of Commerce's "Tackling Human Trafficking At Large Sporting Events"
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce will host "Tackling Human Trafficking at Large Sporting Events" in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. E.T.
This event will emphasize the business community's role in developing strategies to raise awareness of human trafficking at major sporting events. Experts from government and private entities will discuss lessons learned from Louisiana's anti-human trafficking campaign utilized during the NCAA men's Final Four tournament, in addition to best practices for replicating this initiative throughout the U.S.
Donna Edwards, Former First Lady of Louisiana and founder of the National Coalition for the Prevention of Human Sex Trafficking, will deliver the keynote address and announce a new training opportunity, "Human Trafficking Prevention and Awareness: A Playbook for Stakeholders."
