Free Webinars: USM's Center for Human Trafficking Research and Training
The University of Southern Mississippi's Center for Human Trafficking Research and Training is partnering with the Domestic Abuse Family Shelter, Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence, I Am Jessica Kay, and Metanoia to host a free webinar series in January during Human Trafficking Prevention Month. During these webinars, participants will learn strategies to identify and report cases of trafficking. This series is an educational opportunity for anyone to join the movement toward the prevention and awareness of trafficking.
If you suspect a person may be a victim of human or labor trafficking, contact the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 888-373-7888. For more information on trafficking, visit their website for available resources. As MBAT members, we encourage you to remain vigilant as trafficking is not only on the rise but all around us.
To learn more about MBAT or utilize the MBAT resources, visit the MBAT website, email MBAT@sos.ms.gov, or call 601-359-6344.
