Free Webinar: "Building Public Awareness During Human Trafficking Prevention Month"
January is Human Trafficking Prevention Month, a federal observance designated to raise awareness of human trafficking while empowering the public to take action in preventing and responding.
The Office of Trafficking in Persons (OTIP) will host a free webinar on December 17, 2024, from 1:00-2:00 P.M. (EST) on Building Public Awareness During Human Trafficking Prevention Month. During this webinar, OTIP will discuss communications planning, while providing an overview of the HTPM resources and strategies to raise awareness. Businesses may utilize these resources and tools to strengthen and educate their communities; however, this outreach may be applied across all organizations and sectors.
If you suspect a person may be a victim of human or labor trafficking, contact the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 888-3737-888. For more information on trafficking, visit their website for available resources. As MBAT members, we encourage you to remain vigilant as trafficking is not only on the rise but all around us.
